By inviting, adding, or otherwise using HornBot on Discord, you ("you", "your") automatically agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("ToS"). HornBot is operated by Bot Lab ("we", "us", "our"); if you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our services.
By using our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to Discord's Terms of Service and meet every requirement mentioned there, including the minimum age requirement set by Discord.
You also confirm that you have read and agreed to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and store your data.
These Terms apply to anyone who uses the bot, including server administrators who add the bot to a server and members who interact with it, regardless of whether they added it themselves.
HornBot is a Discord bot that provides various features, including text-to-speech ("TTS"), to Discord servers. We may add, modify, restrict, or remove any feature at any time, for any reason, without prior notice, and we do not guarantee that any specific feature will remain available indefinitely.
You have the right to use our service as long as you do not use it in any of the following ways:
We reserve the right to permanently block you or your server from our services, deny support and/or services, remove access without refund, or report you to Discord, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
We are not responsible for content generated via our bot by users that violates Discord's ToS or any applicable law in any way. Responsibility for such content lies solely with the user who generated it.
All of our TTS features are powered by third-party text-to-speech providers — we do not generate audio ourselves. Our TTS features work by sending the text you submit, along with technical parameters needed to generate audio (such as the selected voice, speed, and pitch), to one or more of these third-party providers. The specific providers we use may change at any time without notice.
By using our TTS features, you acknowledge that the content you submit will be transmitted to and processed by these external providers under their own respective terms and policies, which are outside of our control. You are solely responsible for ensuring that the content you submit, and the voice or voice model you select, complies with these Terms, the third-party provider's own policies, and all applicable law.
Some voices available through our bot may be provided by third-party or community-run voice generation platforms. We do not create, verify, endorse, or take responsibility for any voice model made available through such platforms, and we disclaim all liability arising from their use.
We offer optional premium features through a subscription managed on Patreon. By subscribing, you additionally agree to Patreon's own terms of service and privacy policy, as all payment processing is handled entirely by Patreon — we never receive or store your payment card or billing details.
Subscription tiers, pricing, and included features may change at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes in advance, but we do not guarantee advance notice for all changes.
We may also grant temporary premium access through promotions, giveaways, or voting rewards (e.g. via top.gg), at our sole discretion. Such access is not guaranteed, may be modified or revoked at any time, and does not entitle you to any compensation.
Cancellations of paid subscriptions must be made directly through Patreon. Access to premium features generally continues until the end of the current billing period after cancellation.
Unless required by law, payments made through Patreon are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us through our support server.
We reserve the right to revoke premium access, without refund, if these Terms are violated.
Our services, including any third-party services we rely on, are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the bot, and we do not guarantee that any particular feature will always function as intended.
We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime at any time, with or without notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, our services, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access to premium features, content generated by third-party TTS providers or voice models, or damages resulting from actions taken by other users.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with applicable law, without giving effect to any conflict of law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
